FileMaker Go Virtual Keyboard

by Dan Rosenstein

The virtual Keyboard is a replacement for FileMaker’s built-in iOS pop-up keyboard.

It allows for flexibility in design and functionality.

The file comes with 3 keyboard design examples and can be expanded easily to support multiple languages and other keys.

The full instructions are in the README script but in short the process is:

  1. Import the global table (VirtualKeyboard)
  2. Import the script folder
  3. Add the keyboard initialize script to your startup
  4. Copy the keyboard pop-up object to your layout
  5. Add the script trigger to any field you want the pop-up to appear for (see README for the specifics)
